Acquired at the Chelsea Flea Market as part of the artist’s ongoing study of industrial design, this Panasonic SV-AV30 was intended to serve as a dedicated medium for documenting everyday life. Its compact construction, mechanical interface, and early digital aesthetic made it an object of particular interest. Only after its acquisition was the camera’s display discovered to be severely damaged, leaving its intended purpose temporarily unrealized.
